Octagon client Darcey Bussell has been named as the new judge “Strictly Come Dancing.
Since retiring from her role as the Principal Dancer at the Royal Ballet in 2006, Darcey has continued her love for dance, performing in a touring show, Viva la Diva, and recreating dances from Hollywood classics such as Singing in the Rain for a BBC Christmas Day Special in 2011. Having previously appeared as a guest judge, she now joins the “Strictly Come Dancing” panel on a full-time basis when the show returns in the Autumn.
Darcey said: "I had such a lovely experience in 2009 when I was a guest judge, that coming on board now feels very natural. Strictly combines quality dance and great entertainment, which is such a positive for everybody involved. I am very excited and really looking forward to being part of the Strictly team."
