Octagon’s Liam Tancock and Gemma Spofforth scoop gold at the Commonwealth games and European Championships.

 

Octagon’s Liam Tancock won the 50m backstroke in Delhi earlier this month at the Commonwealth games. Tancock also broke the commonwealth record (24.62 secs). Tancock, the world champion and world-record holder also swam the second leg of England’s silver medal-winning 4x100m freestyle, while Gemma Spofforth won gold in the 100m backstroke at the European Championships. Gemma is the latest swimming star signed to Octagon and won the 100m backstroke for her third successive year at the 2010 Unites States Collegiate Championships. Gemma is Florida Gators Captain leading her team to win the NCAA crown.
