Victor Chandler - VC Poker Cup

Looking to position themselves as the world’s leading poker brand in a sector experiencing hyper-growth, Victor Chandler came to Octagon. Together we created the definitive poker tournament, online and off, targeting both professionals and amateurs.

The key challenge of this initiative was to create an event that would be a credible experience for players and a TV programme demonstrating how top-class poker should be played. It was essential, in creating this event, to capture content and secure TV platforms in Victor Chandler’s key markets across the world.

The tournament, played over five days and filmed at Teddington studios, generated over sixty hours of footage. This footage was then edited into seven, hour-long programmes. In the UK, these were broadcast primetime on Sky Sports 2 over seven consecutive nights.

Reaching a global audience, the VC Poker Cup was also syndicated internationally and shown on terrestrial or satellite platforms in nine carefully selected countries - mapped against Victor Chandler’s key markets.
