As the official technology partner of the Wimbledon and French Open Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments, IBM is uniquely positioned to showcase a variety of technology offerings in unique environments.
Over the course of five years, IBM looked to Octagon to develop and implement a hospitality programme worthy of their key corporate guests, geared towards their objectives.
To effectively deliver a high-end, entertaining and business-driven corporate hospitality programme, Octagon placed the strategic emphasis on event operations, special events, communications and post-event measurement.
We devised an ambassador programme featuring French tennis legend Guy Forget and managed a behind-the-scenes programme that allowed guests to witness how IBM’s technologies impact upon a major sporting event. We also sourced, secured and administered accommodation, local transport, and all communications, inviting nearly 1,000 guests per event.
With this exciting and business-focused approach, Octagon helped IBM demonstrate a clear correlation between new business growth and the hospitality initiative. The results demonstrated Octagon’s capacity to expand the scope and impact of a traditional hospitality initiative.
